Since my last system upgrade, performed march 19th, my custom-compiled KDE started to show errors about mime types not found (see below). Recompiling has not fixed it. After more research, I found out that XDG_DATA_DIRS variable was not set by the system to point to /usr/share Additional info: * package version(s) system up-to-date as of march 21/03 * config and/or log files etc. see the attached error messages reading : Could not found mime types: "inode/directory" "inode/blockdevice" "inode/chardevice" "inode/socket" "inode/fifo" "application/x-shellscript" "application/x-executable" "application/x-desktop" Steps to reproduce: 1. pacman -Syu 2. reopen your custom-compiled KDE session Workaround found: place the attached xdg.sh file in /etc/profile.d/ chmod +x /etc/profile.f/xdg.sh |
