Details

Description:
linux kernel 3.8.3-2 not mount cifs shares from others computers.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
linux 3.8.3-2
smbclient 3.6.13-1
* config and/or log files etc.


Steps to reproduce:
pacman -Syu
reboot
mount -t cifs //media/share /mnt/share
promt user password and not mount.

on linux 3.7.10-1 & smbclient 3.6.12-2/3.6.13-1 work fine.

work mount cifs share

does not work on linux 3.8.3-2 x86_64, tested on three different computers.

try with '-o sec=ntlm'

Here i've the same behaviour of Sergio(serg89).
I've solved changing the security protocol like Daniel Wallace(gtmanfred) as suggested.

for me:

# mount.cifs //SMBSERVERIP/folder /home/myuser/sharefolder -o sec=ntlm,user=USER,pass=PASS

works well.
