DetailsDescription:
If the command 'reboot' is issued on my machine there is a very high probability that it will hang after stopping several processes. Additional info: Reboot failed when upgrading to kernel 3.8.3, making me do a hardboot to shutdown my machine. After fixing that hiccup I just used the shutdown command instead of reboot. I have a very vanilla install on my machine, so I am not sure if any of my packages would be causing a conflict. Steps to reproduce: Typing in reboot instead of using the shutdown command will usually make the machine hang. I cannot recall the last time reboot worked on this machine. |

assume that is stopped prior to hanging.
I am going to look into generating logs from systemd with the issue occurring,
I shall try to post them next week (or a bit later if generating logs takes
longer than expected for me to figure out).

Edit;
Reboot appears to work fine now. I am wondering if it was something else that
caused reboot to hang.
After rebooting and hanging I hardbooted and turned my machine back on,
I had to remove a db lock for pacman (I don't recall the specific
file name), and then had to roll back all packages that I had tried to upgrade.
They all ended up downloading (the new versions), but none of them were installed
as far as pacman was concerned. My `uname -a` output displayed the old kernel version
too, even though new directories had been created with the new kernels contents
(the old version stuff hadn't been removed which was weird too), so I renamed all of
the libraries and folders that had been updated to <name>-backup and updated each
package to the one found in my pacman cache with pacman -U.
So, this is either pebkac for hard booting when it was hanging on reboot, or a bug
exists in pacman? I will look into my pacman logs if I have any
