Hello,

I have problem with switching display between notebook and external display in KDE 4.10.1 with kwin_gles compositor. Setting dual display (left/right/above) or switching between displays causes broken screen. Please, check attached screenshot.

Tested with new .kde4 profile. I think, that this problem is in mesa library. Maybe bug is present only when radeon driver is used, because switching display with latest mesa driver (9.1-3) and Intel GPU/driver works fine.

When I change compositing type from OpenGL to Xrender, or change kwin_gles to kwin, everthing works fine.

System is updated
KDE version 4.10.1
GPU: ATI x1400, driver - radeon
Kernel: 3.8.3-2

You should confirm what pkg is the culprint and then report it upstream.

Dependency hell, but downgraded to mesa version 9.0.2-1 and display switching with kwin_gles/opengl works fine. So I think, that problem is in mesa library.

[2013-04-19 08:31] [PACMAN] downgraded ati-dri (9.1.1-1 -> 9.0.2-1)
[2013-04-19 08:31] [PACMAN] installed libegl (9.0.2-1)
[2013-04-19 08:31] [PACMAN] installed libgbm (9.0.2-1)

[2013-04-19 08:31] [PACMAN] installed libglapi (9.0.2-1)
[2013-04-19 08:31] [PACMAN] installed libgles (9.0.2-1)
[2013-04-19 08:31] [PACMAN] downgraded libva (1.1.1-1 -> 1.1.0-2)
[2013-04-19 08:31] [PACMAN] downgraded mesa (9.1.1-1 -> 9.0.2-1)

Then check for an existing upstream report or file a new one.

For me yesterday's update of mesa fixed it, too!
