Description:
With the current startup scipt(/usr/bin/steam) steam only minimizes to the task bar if you click on close. This can easily be changed by adding the following command to the startup scipt(/usr/bin/steam):
export STEAM_FRAME_FORCE_CLOSE=1
I believe that is the expected behaviour.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
steam 1.0.0.36-1
Github Issue:

Steps to reproduce:
Install steam.

it doesnt seem upstream is going to change the behavior anytime soon, so i think we should do the small change.

Minimizing to the task bar is the same behavior expected when you run in windows, I see no reason to deviate from the default behavior by default. If the user wants this they can export the variable manually, or if they set it in the actual steam menus it gets sourced in the startup script.

(just consider this, i cannot add comment anymore) I realize it might be same as on Windows, I just say it's wrong from UI standards, minimize is to bring to taskbar, close is to exit or bring to the icon only (or what u call it). I dont see an option in the GUI where a user can set the behavior on close, as you mention?

it is an option in the steam options menu... why should i make it the default when it is clear that upstream wants it to be the users choice? plus, if i make it the default in /usr/bin/steam, does it interfere with the check box in the settings menu?

it is a users decision, not mine...
