Details

Evince requires libxkbcommon to run.

# evince file.pdf
evince: error while loading shared libraries: libxkbcommon.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

After installing libxkbcommon evince ran fine.

Evince depends on gtk3, which depends on libxkbcommon.

Are you using a version not in the repo?

I am using the one in extra but something funky happened. When I tried to remove libxkbcommon it wouldn't let me because GTK3 depends on it. I don't know how I got those installed without pulling in libxkbcommon but it was working until I updated a couple of days ago. Sorry for the invalid report but I don't know what happened.
