I see that you packaged the SVN version of ffmpegsource instead of latest release from here:
http://ffmpegsource.googlecode.com/files/ffms-2.17-src.tar.bz2

What is the problem with the latest release? Does it fail to build or incompatible with something?

There were several problems with the latest release, the year old release needed several more patches to build since ffmpeg has changed quite a bit, it made more sense to just pull the svn instead of patching.
The one patch used now is to fix this aegisub bug by enabling libavresample in ffmpegsource: http://devel.aegisub.org/ticket/1582; and was made by diffing the official svn repo and the git repo owned by an Aegisub dev. Without it, ffmpegsource will see any embedded audio as PCM and won't decode it at all.
Also, this patch will probably end up in the official svn repo soon as tgoyne (the aegi dev) has commit access.

Thanks for the explanation. In this case we could stay at SVN until the next release. Feel free to close this task.
