Description:
xsane fails to start with the following error: xsane: error while loading shared libraries: libgphoto2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Additional info: * xsane 0.998-2 * libgphoto2 2.5.0-1 /usr/lib/libgphoto2.so.6 exists but libgphoto2.so.2 does not. I guess the package just needs to be rebuilt to link against the new library. |

Your sane package is outdated, or you have some dangling
libsane.so.* file from a local installation that gets loaded
instead of the packaged libsane. xsane itself doesn't link to
libgphoto2.
You're right. I had an AUR installation of sane-git. I must have
installed that for some reason, but I don't remember doing it.
