My Powercom IMD-625AP UPS was not detected by upower (the kde battery icon showed "no battery present").

What I did to fix:
cp /lib/udev/rules.d/95-upower-hid.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/95-upower-hid.rules
vi /etc/udev/rules.d/95-upower-hid.rules
Added the line
ATTRS{idVendor}=="0d9f", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0004", ENV{UPOWER_BATTERY_TYPE}="ups"
... at the end of the PowerCOM block.
Reboot, and the battery is detected.

Additional comments about closing:  Please report this upstream. Other than your bugreport here, I don't seem to find any other reference for device IDs, upstream bugreports or other distributions adding your UPS anywhere.
