Please test 3.7.7, if problem persist, please report to upstream, thanks.

Hi Gerardo, do you have a link to the 3.7.7 packages to try? My machine almost explodes when compiling the kernel. And it takes a very long time.

Also, do you have any reason to believe a commit between 3.7.6 and 3.7.7 fixes the problem? Bugzilla bug?

`git log v3.7.6..v3.7.7 --oneline | grep -i acpi` comes up empty for me.

hendry: It's in [testing] now.

3.7.7 also overheated. http://stats.webconverger.org/x220/temp/temp.png

Also developed this problem:

x220:~$ sudo powertop
powertop: error while loading shared libraries: libnl-genl-3.so.200: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I guess it's not feasible to roll back out of [testing]?

I did manage to downgrade the kernel `pacman -U ./linux-3.7.5-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz`, but my machine still seems too hot. Wondering if the intel video driver has anything to do with it. This is hell. Months of overheating.

hendry: you can run `pacman -Syyuu` after commenting out testing to roll back to [core].

Also, I noticed in your graph that you've only tried two of the mainline kernels, would you mind trying -rc7? I'm running it now and it's not overheating for me.

rc7 was fine http://stats.webconverger.org/x220/temp/043.png, but I need the stable kernel for Virtualbox.
