I can't reproduce your error.

Check with journalctl if it gives you any information

I'm finding now that it's taking a few tries before it crashes. I've attached my journalctl for the last 20 minutes or so. The beginning chunk of it is boot, but anything from around 12:05 on may be relevant to the issue.

Edit: I should add that during that timeframe I crashed Cinnamon 3 or 4 times.

Please try to reproduce this problem in Cinnamon 2D session (gnome-session-cinnamon2d).

The problem could be reproduced in Cinnamon 2D. The same problem occurred exactly as it did with Cinnamon.

Hi, sorry for not answering.

I was doing some research and it seems that it happens to more people. There's an open ticket here https://github.com/linuxmint/Cinnamon/issues/1334

The last comment is from 3 months ago but it seems that they forgot about it.

Thanks for the information. Since we are unable to reproduce this problem, and it's an upstream bug, we can't do anything. Please follow the upstream report, and notify us if a solution is available.
