What video card and driver are you using ?

I'm using Arch with KDE 4.10.0-1 and a NVIDIA GTX570 with NVIDIA binary driver 313.18 from extra repo and don't have this problem. Will check with nouveau also and report back.

Edit: Tried with nouveau also, not happening, not with kernel 3.8.2-1 either. On x86_64 btw.

My laptop is an ASUS N56VZ and It has a nvidia-optimus card with intel 4000 series graphics. I'm using KDE with intel one. So I'm using kernel driver, i915.
