if you have no j2re the official version refuses to init setup complaing about could not find java in path etc

sorry i can't confirm this, on my system it installs fine without java installed,
what have you done exactly?

I did what wiki said (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/OpenOffice#Installation_2)


/opt/openoffice/program/soffice
javaldx: Could not find a Java Runtime Environment!
and then goes a plain error dialog about init failed etc
so I thought that was it. but now I have j2re and still get this one
