Description:

Hello, it would be nice if Archlinux had this patch [1] applied to Xorg Server. It would enable users to "use" hybrid graphics up to some point. Only offloading is possible with the current xorg-server and drivers.

In order to run GL app on secondary gpu, user would need to set DRI_PRIME=1 in his environent, and of course, it would also be necesary to have correct 2D and 3D driver available at runtime.

The patch description sounds awfully sketchy... The "do not upstream" part sounds like a non-starter.

Patching features into Arch packages is against our own rules. This won't go into our package until this is somewhere at least in xorg-server git master.

Until then feel free to maintain it in AUR.
