There is an ati-drivers package in community which is well used and has plenty of votes (53). Would it be possible for this package to be added to extra? It is currently built against the archck kernel but, presumably, would need to be built against stock?

We're currently looking for a dev who has an ati card so the drivers may be tested sufficiently.

Yes please build this against stock as each time I've tried running archchk I got random lockups quite frequently, even when not using ati-drivers. I would really like to be able to use the ati-drivers wich the more stable stock kernel.

What's the status on that? It would be lovely to have ati-drivers in extra built against stock kernel
