Every time ibus-daemon is started, it wipes X keyboard layout settings and changes them to US keyboard, no matter what keyboard layout you had set.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Set up a non-US keyboard layout. You can do it with your DE settings, or with setxkbmap.
2. Start ibus-daemon.
3. Type. Your keyboard layout is gone. `setxkbmap -query` will print:
rules: evdev
model: pc101
layout: us
options: grp:shift_caps_toggle

Always reproducible.

Of course, this is very annoying if you use a non-default-US keyboard.

As you will see, this seems to be a bigger problem, which, hopefulley, shall be solved with Gnome 3.8.
Here you will find more information to the topic:

The problem is upstream, as long as Gnome will not solve this, Arch Linux has no chance to solve it. AFAIK
