gnome-settings-daemon recently started including the file /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.updates.gschema.xml, which is not useful without installing gnome-settings-daemon-updates. In addition, the latter package makes some adjustments to this file so that the default settings make sense for Arch (this prevents automatic updates and checking for "distro upgrades"). I would suggest removing this file from gnome-settings-daemon so I can include it in the updates plugin once more.

Additional info:
package version - 3.6.4-1

Do you still want me to remove these files, or would it be better to merge your changes to the gsettings files in the main gnome-settings-daemon package?

I think it makes more sense for the schema to be part of the updates package, but if you want to include the changes they are available as part of this patch (just the first 22 lines):
