Description:

When installing arch on a new laptop last night, I happened to spot orbit2 being pulled in for libreoffice. This is mostly an obsolete library from the gnome2 days.

Perhaps I missed it, but I looked in libreoffice's git repos at the various components, and couldn't find a single reference to orbit. Further, I couldn't spot another distribution that forces the package as a dependency. Perhaps this is a left over ?

Additional info:
* package versions: 3.6.4, 4.x

Ah, excellent! I just grepped through each configure script, and didn't go far enough back in history to spot the removal. Thanks for the consideration!
