Description:
When I flip the screen around and lay it flat (tablet mode), X server crashes. Killing or removing acpid fixes the issue, so I believe acpid is causing it.

However, the odd thing is that it only crashes when acpid is started from outside X, whether using systemctl or the terminal. After I start X, if I start acpid it doesn't crash. I'm not sure if this is an upstream bug or an issue with the .service file, which is why I'm posting it here.

Additional info:
* acpid-2.0.17
* Xorg.0.log: http://sprunge.us/hcWZ

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start acpid using systemd, initscripts, or before starting X
2. Start X (twm, awesome, or XFCE tested)
3. Flip screen and close to enter 'tablet mode'

Turns out it was an upstream bug in X. Bug fix for acpid will be in acpid-2.0.18, and a bug has been opened in X.org:
