DetailsI have glibc 2.16 (I can't update to glibc 2.17: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/33240). I've just update systemd-197-4, it printed a message aboput glibc 2.17 not found and then I can't restart my computer: kernel panic with some error about glibc 2.17 not found. I had to downgrade systemd starting with an USB and arch-chrooting.

Partial upgrades aren't supported for exactly reasons like this. If you can't upgrade glibc, then you certainly shouldn't be randomly updating anything else.
