Description:
When installing gnome and xfce on the same machine (gnome first, then XFCE) Thunar becomes the only choice presented to you by Gnome when mounting new media.

As in, gnome displays a notification which asks if you want to open newly inserted media with thunar (instead of nautilus).

Symptom of us not shipping a default mimeapps configuration.

The old way to handle such trouble (also known with pdf renderers) is https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Default_applications#mimeopen , more solutionas are possible.
But this is not a specific bug.

So far there's no common mime handling over the whole distribution implenented and nowhere soon to be seen.
