Description:

Qt5 has been released on the 19th of December, 2012. Yet, packages are not available. As of now, there are not many projects released with Qt5 dependency, but it is a huge burden for developers to get Qt5 built on their own once they try to contribute to a project depending on Qt5.

So, arch is not only an end-user platform hopefully. The request did not go that far with private emails and flagging, hence there is this bugreport for collecting votes to show up how much it is needed.

I offered my help, too, but the problem is that it was noted as low-priority for integration in the first place as I have been replied KDE may only depend on Qt5 in 2014. That is unfortunately bogus as many KDE developers use Archlinux which would already need Qt5 packages for frameworks just for one.
This task depends upon

Sure, it is possible to make AUR packages, but yet: I am sure I am not alone with the feeling of rather not rebuild all the qt5 modules including webkit for several hours on each development machine.

Well, build a single package and share it across your machines...

REPEAT: Do NOT report bugs for outdated packages!
