Description:
Xorg from testing randomly crashes on Intel 945GM and SNA enabled. Can anyone else reproduce Xorg crashes with the current xorg packages from testing?

Additional info:
* xf86-video-intel 2.20.17-1
* xorg-server 1.13.1-1
* xf86-input-evdev 2.7.3-2

Steps to reproduce:
Use Firefox and Opera for a while and maybe also MPlayer until Xorg randomly crashes leaving an unusable framebuffer console with the (hardware) mouse cursor still visible. One time it crashed while playing a video with MPlayer, another time while pressing Ctrl-q to quit Opera.

Providing logs would be nice. This is just another random bugreport with random information to me.

I can provide /var/log/Xorg.log.0 that ends with a segfault notice and no stacktrace. If that's of use I will post it here next time it crashes. Oh and this started to happen last weekend. Have there been any relevant package updates which could have an effect?

It happened again but I unfortunately didn't remember to save logs from that.

Changing accel method fixed the problem for me

/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf

Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel Graphics"
Driver "intel"
Option "AccelMethod" "uxa"
EndSection

I don't remember a crash since March 2nd. Could one of the package updates have fixed this?

I've recently seen what seems to be the same issue, that is, the server crashes, leaving an unusable framebuffer console with the mouse cursor still visible.
Only, it only happens when I'm using Chromium. Sometimes it happens when I simply open the browser, sometimes it's when I open a new tab. Until now, I've identified only chromium as possible cause. I've got no log to show right now though.
Chromium is configured with all the default flags in chrome://flags, and WebGL doesn't seem to be enabled.

I use Intel graphics with SNA enabled too. For me it's a pretty recent issue, so I'm not sure this really is related to this bug, but the symptoms are quite similar.

Probably not the same bug after all, since the logs don't match.
I assume I should open a new bug.
