I've opened this bug request few months ago. A person answered me to write a feature request.

For me, it's a kernel problem.

Description:
I have a bit of problems with my new: Asus eeePc 1225b. (For information: http://www.asus.com/Eee/Eee_PC/Eee_PC_1225B/)

The Problem:
1. (FIXED in bad manner) When I logged, I can't suspend, reboot. Monitor come black, the light of POWER ON button is blue. I can't use computer. I have fixed with this solution (in the last three posts): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/951143
2. (NOT FIXED) When I'm not logged yet. I can't reboot. Monitor come black, the light of POWER ON button is blue.
3. (NOT FIXED) Sometimes I can't use my touchpd and keyboard.

Ask upstream in linux-acpi mailing list, but I guest ACPI firmware code is broken, is a common thing. There is nothing to do here.
