You should probably remove alsa-oss....

What groups did you add this user to?
Comment by Vasiliy (alligator) - Sunday, 30 December 2012, 22:16 GMT
grep -P 'pulse|audio|alsa' /etc/group
audio:x:92:alligator,pulse

With root also.
After delete alsa-oss also.
After reboot also.

Remove yourself from audio. You need to use ACLs for audio access.

Not lead to the desired result.

Remove anything that is associated with sound, delete the remaining configs, set everything back up and reboot.
Replace in /etc/asound.conf:
pcm.!default {
type pulse
fallback "sysdefault"
hint {
show on
description "Default ALSA Output (currently PulseAudio Sound Server)"
}
}

ctl.!default {
type pulse
fallback "sysdefault"
}

pcm.default {
type pulse
fallback "sysdefault"
hint {
show on
description "Default ALSA Output (currently PulseAudio Sound Server)"
}
}

ctl.default {
type pulse
fallback "sysdefault"
}

Sound to works as it should. The edistvennoe that refuses to work - festival, but i rarely use it.
