Details

Description:
Trying to update my system, multiple packages have filesytem conflicts:

...
python: /usr/share/man/man1/python3.3.1.gz exists in filesystem
sqlite-tcl: /usr/share/man/mann/sqlite3.n.gz exists in filesystem
...

Already cleanup up conflicts "sqlite-doc".

I did not manually generate those files nor install packages from AUR.

I am wondering why

This is a duplciate of  FS#33222

> error: could not open file /var/lib/pacman/local/xorg-server-1.13.1-1/desc: No such file or directory
You've managed to corrupt your local DB for this particular package. No, I don't know how that might happen other than a filesystem failure. Reinstalling the package will fix it.

> some more errors:
Nothing for Arch to do here... you ran whatever this is as root at some point and as python wrote the .pyc bytecode files. The package now contains these, so you get a file conflict. I'm sure if you run pacman -Qo for a couple of those you'll see that the files are unowned.

As you can see there are not only .pyc files, but also .py files. I would like to agree with you that I ran python as root and installed them, but it's very unlikely I did that on this box.

I see this is hard to prove either way, so you can close the bug. It was meant to raise the awareness only.

Closing based on the fact that the .py files mentioned here only belong to a single package (verified via pkgfile).
