Description:
This is a purely cosmetic patch to force xchat to use the GDK_HAND2 cursor instead of GDK_HAND1 since the later one is rarely implemented by cursor themes and so the cursor looks 'unesthetic' every time hovering a link.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
based on xchat-2.8.8-11

* config and/or log files etc.
the patch: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=ndLzG89z

Steps to reproduce:
1. patch -p1 -i "${srcdir}/xchat-2.8.8-cursor.patch"
2. …
3. profit

Arch Linux doesn't apply any patches like this to packages.[1] You should submit this upstream if you want it changed.

I agree with Daniel, though XChat's upstream seems quite dead; doubt it's even worth reporting the issue to them.

This might end bad but wouldn't it be feasible to just fork the source and upload it to github|bitbucket|whateverfloatsyourboat with all the current patches floating in the PKGBUILD already applied?

Looks like there's a fork of XChat called HexChat (http://www.hexchat.org/).

Switching to that might be a good idea. :)
