Detailscurrently I have totem installed in my pc but today I decide to try totem-xine. So I did:
[root@p3 ~]# pacman -S totem-xine :: totem-xine conflicts with totem. Remove totem? [Y/n] Remove: totem Targets: totem-xine-1.2.0-1 Total Package Size: 1.3 MB Proceed with upgrade? [Y/n] :: Retrieving packages from extra... totem-xine-1.2.0-1 [################] 100% 1370K 122.1K/s 00:00:11 checking package integrity... done. error: this will break the following dependencies: totem: is required by rhythmbox [root@p3 ~]# but, as you can see, I can't do this because other pkgs require totem. So I think PKGBUILD of totem-xine needs a line like: provides=('totem') |

Additional comments about closing: Fixed in 1.2.0-2, which also fixes the crashes.
