Steps to reproduce: Place this file in package so it is usable with systemd I don't know if I did this right, I am relatively new to systemd. #/usr/lib/systemd/system/ntpdate.service Description=Set time on boot, then exit Requires=network.target After=network.target [Service] Type=oneshot ExecStart=/usr/bin/ntpd -q -g -u ntp [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target |

Although initscripts is deprecated, I will be leaving the ntpd/ntpdate/ntp.conf files in the package for a little longer (or until they require maintenance).
