DetailsCurrently, there is no way to browse old versions of AUR packages. Sometimes the maintainer makes a change, and there is no easy way to even see what the change was.
Having some kind of a changelog or at least a version history would make finding packaging regressions so much easier. Sometimes there may be even destructive changes and we need a way to rollback those. A freely formed maintainer comment (e.g. what issue was fixed with the change) for each package change should be encouraged. |

FS#23010.whenever a packager provides a 'changelog' entry in the PKGBUILD, make that changelog accessible in the AUR web interface (e.g., add a "View Changelog" link to the "Package Actions" section).
Increasing the visibility of package changelogs in this way may also encourage maintainers to actually add a changelog to their package :)
