error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files) foo: /usr/bin/cp exists in filesystem It would be good to distinguish between an unonwned file existing in the filesystem (what the current error message implies) and a file in a package causing a conflict. I believe the slowdown in performing this check is warranted in the error case. |
