Currently qemu-kvm does not recognize the --enable-mixemu option. According to http://wiki.qemu.org/ChangeLog/1.1#Audio_devices , this option exists since version 1.1 or earlier. Without this option, guests cannot control the volume of the emulated sound card. There exist workarounds, like telling the guest sound server to not use the hardware volume control, but that is inconvenient. (I have not personally tried building qemu-kvm with this option. Everything I know is from googling.) Additional info: Current version of qemu-kvm in Extra: 1.2.0-1 Steps to reproduce: Install qemu-kvm from Extra. Run "qemu-kvm --enable-mixemu". |
