Description:

After upgrade last week some apps have broken fonts and are quite unusable. Scribus dialogs where are fonts for numbers used are replaced with unknown font, propably some arabic ? Also speedcrunch has issues with decimal point, either dot or comma results to error.

Do you have an NVIDIA card? If so, you might be seeing  FS#32612 , in which case you can downgrade xorg-server to 1.13.0-3.

I'm running Nvidia Optimus, Nvidia 550M is not primary used, only Intel. So think should not be related.

It seems all packages that depend on Qt have broken font for numbers in their dialogs. Clementine is also affected.

Before I reassign this bug to the qt4 maintainer, I would just add that I strongly suspect a font engine configuration error to be the cause of your problem. Check for anything funny in ~/.config/fontconfig, /etc/fonts, qtconfig-qt4, etc.
