Description:

Previously I was not able to use networkmanager since Arch removed consoltkit support.
Now I followed this docs to make networmanager work with systemd again.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NetworkManager#Set_up_PolicyKit_permissions
But I found the configuration board in gnome-control-center crashes.

And I tried to run gnome-control-center with command, and click to switch to network section.
Then I copied the "Segmentation fault (core dumped)" logs. And pasted on Archlinuxcn..

Both cases have binary strings in SSIDs. Fixed with gnome-control-center 3.8.x

i fail to understand why you feel the need to "configure" polkit.

the current setup just works out of the box.

@Ionut Biru (wonder):
I installed Arch about a month ago using the ISO released at about 11-02.
A first I was not able to add wireless network in networkmanager as it gave the "activation of cnnection failed" error.
I had seen that error before when I didn't setup consolekit. But at that time consolekit was removed according to the Wiki.
I asked Chinese Arch group for help and posted to topic on the forum but didn't solve it:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=153388

I'm wondering if the previous versions work as the current one..

Can you try reverting the changes you made and try again?

@Greg I tried the three step that is on the wiki.. It still doesn't work.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NetworkManager#Set_up_PolicyKit_permissions

Since there were `polkit.service system-logind.service` running, I jumped the first step and use:
```
sudo gpasswd -a chen wheel
sudo gpasswd -a chen network
sudo vim /etc/polkit-1/rules.d/50-org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.rules
reboot
```
Is there any problem with these commands?

zsh: segmentation fault (core dumped) gnome-control-center network -v
------------------------
I followed the Arch Linux guide to update my system to systemd and dropped the consolekit. The problem also exists. All software is in the newest version currently.
networkmanager 0.9.6.4-2
gnome-control-center 3.6.3-4
