Description:

Using the currently-packaged mplayer SVN-r35421-4.7.2, if you play audio that happens to have cover art, enable framedropping, and use the lavf demuxer, there is a known and resolved upstream bug that causes mplayer to generate error messages at a rate of about 20 megabytes per minute of error messages.

This is also known to have been resolved in at least mplayer r35482; the package in extra should be updated to resolve this bug.

Upstream report: http://bugzilla.mplayerhq.hu/show_bug.cgi?id=2109

Sample output attached (with exact arguments).

Example audio (9.8MB): http://buhman.org/sample.mp3
