Description:

I noticed that 'glu' and 'wxgtk' have become depends with erlang with package update version R15B02-2 to resolve bug  FS#32691 . I use erlang on a headless server (for ejabber), and therefore don't require glu or wxgtk. The change from optional dependencies means an additional 49 packages need to be installed, which isn't ideal.

I've updated ignoring dependencies and all seems to be functioning and working well. :)

Is 'glu' and 'wxgtk' required as dependencies, or can they be optional dependencies?

Additional info:

Hm. Tough question. They should either be optional dependencies , hard dependencies or perhaps erlang should be split into two packages: "erlang" and "erlang-headless" (or "erlang-nox").
Emacs has both an "emacs" package in [extra] and "emacs-nox" in [community], so perhaps this could be a viable solution.

Yes. I'll add "erlang-nox" without the glu and wxgtk dependencies. Sounds like a plan?

Added erlang-nox. Please reopen this bug if it doesn't work as expected.
