DetailsDescription:
When trying to download python-beautifulsoup with pacman (note: the package in itself does not exist), it will for some reason try to download python2-beautifulsoup3 instead. This is confusing, and it should be an error, or at least try to download the python-beautifulsoup4 package (which is the only working version of beautifulsoup for python, and not python2). Steps to reproduce: # pacman -S python-beautifulsoup resolving dependencies... looking for inter-conflicts... Targets (1): python2-beautifulsoup3-3.2.1-1 Total Installed Size: 0,34 MiB Proceed with installation? [Y/n] n |
