Details

Description:

When i need set hostname by command I get reply
#hostnamectl set-hostname TESTIK
Failed to issue method call: The name org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1 was not provided by any .service files

Fresh instalation from archlinux-2012.11.01-dual.iso, command was made under root acount. System is clean base base-devel with opensshd and mc installed

You need polkit installed. Perhaps it should be added as optdepends to systemd.

I mean polkit has moves to extras, but dependency does not install polkit.

This is "fixed" in 196. Any polkit checking is short circuited when running as root
