Kernel Panic while trying to change screen brightness

Description:
Trying to change brightness from consoles returns "No outputs have backlight property".
When I try to change brightness using laptop's Fn key kernel panics.

Additional info:
* kernel 3.6.6-1
* virtualbox-host-modules 4.2.4-2
* xf86-video-ati 1:7.0.0-1

Is the first time I have to report an error and I was forwarded from supersuer.com to here when asking where I have to post my error.
The question I asked can be found here: http://superuser.com/questions/506527/where-and-how-should-a-kernel-panic-be-reported
As my question at superuser.com says, I have not found any way to catch kernel panic' stacktrace or any other log that could be useful.
I will answer any question needed for resolve this bug.

Steps to reproduce:
* Touch brightness fn key + brightness up/down.

"Typically, you should report bugs to your Linux distribution's bug tracker, where experts will triage the bug and determine who needs to work on it. (In the case of Arch Linux, this would be the Arch Linux bug tracker.)

What will happen next is that someone will come along and try to figure out if the bug originates in original code in the kernel, or from a customization that your distribution has done to it. If the latter, then they will handle it themselves. If it appears to be a bug in the original code, then they will pass it upstream (in this case, to the Linux kernel bug tracker). They may copy and paste the bug to the upstream tracker for you, or they may ask that you do it yourself."

Im guessing the one who replied uses either Red Hat or Ubuntu. The above is not going to happen here. Arch is a DIY distribution and noone is going to be fixing your upstream bug for you.
Take advice number two:
"there is a suggested procedure for reporting Linux kernel bugs that you may want to familiarize yourself with."

As for logs check dmesg and journalctl.
BTW advice for Arch should be seeked in Arch related resources, like the arch-general mailing list or the forum not superuser.com.

Status on 3.7.x?
Comment by Juan Manuel Pérez (KangCoding) - Wednesday, 23 January 2013, 17:13 GMT
Have just updated:

linux 3.7.4-1
virtualbox host modules 4.2.6-4
xf86-video-ati 1:7.0.0-1
kde 4.9.5-1

And I still have the smae problem.
Can change Brightness through /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness and KDE energy manager but kernel panics if I use physical keys to change brightness. It panics even without starting KDE nor X.org server.

I'm not on testing repositories so I have linux 3.7.10 and Panic still persists.
I'll test Linux from testing as soon as I can.
