I configured Liferea to use Mozilla-engine and open in tabs.

When I have a opened the external link from an item from a feed for approx. a half hour, the program just hangs itself up. I can't do anything except for killing it!

Reason for closing:  Fixed
Additional comments about closing:  Looks like this one is fixed in 1.0.4 with XULRunner. Closing this one from a tab in liferea :)

Does it still crash with the recently upgraded 1.0rc1?

I don't use testing, so I dunno really if it still crashes in 1.0rc1, cause the version I have here (updated for last at GMT 0:48), is: 0.9.7b. And this version crashes.

Disregarding the fact that it sounds logic that a newer version is more stable, I find it kinda weird I should use (probably?) a pkg from the unstable-branch instead of the stable-branch.

I'm stress-testing it for the next day (04-10-2005), I'll report on you later (prob. round 19.00 GMT).

0.9.x were already prereleases, so is 1.0rc1, so I packaged it as being suitable for extra.

I find this kinda weird, I'm using 0.9.8 now, but pacman said 1.0rc1 was going to be installed. Don't get this.

Anyway, about the error. Got more details. When I open two webpages inside Liferea in a tab from two different feeds, the whole application crashes. Can't do anything except for killing it. The webpage does has flash on it. The webpages I'm talking about are: "www.nrc.nl" and "www.elseviers.nl" (both Dutch).

The internal version is 0.9.8, but it is listed as 1.0rc1 on the website.

I also wonder how you get tabs in liferea, can't find any.

Right-click an item in the content-list from a feed -> open in tab.

I am able to reproduce this one. What I think that's going on is that these websites open popups or message boxes. Liferea doesn't display them, but they take focus from liferea which refuses it to work. This bug is known in the upstream bugtracker.
