When going to that page, mplayer tries to load automatically all 3 movies, EVEN if you tell it to "stop" from its context menus.

Also, when you right click it to tell it to "save the movie", it saves an 2.4 KB image instead of the actual movie (even after the movie has been completely downloaded in mplayer-plugin's cache).

Additionally, with the new Xorg package, mplayer loses picture when you switch from full screen to windowing mode, on a page like this: http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/doom/large.html

Please upgrade to the latest mplayer-plugin. It apparently fixes a lot of these problems. You offer version 3.11 while 3.15 is out. thx.

also keeps caching the movie - hogging downstream - after shutting down playback.

just updated mplayer-plugin to 3.15, seems to work much better the least.
does it fix your particular problem?

I just upgraded to the latest 3.16 from -current. Well, things are even worse now. Now firefox does not play AT ALL *any* of the apple trailres! What happened?

the link you provided was my test-bed and all 3 samples played well (3D Moon). since Roberto is not around i'll try to dig in deeper. :)

oh, can you make sure it's not a firefox problem by temporarily moving ~/.mozilla?

Alexander, the 480 and 720 movies played flawlessly, however the 1080 video was garbled on the lower 1/3rd of the screen. This happened to me on the X-Men 3 1080 trailer as well.

Nothing works here after the upgrade. I see a black thing where it should be video playback on ANY apple trailer page. :(

ok now, i tried another one of those trailers:

http://www.apple.com/trailers/newline/the_new_world/

all play fine but yes, the 1080p has garbage in the bottom area. but that's not exactly a problem of mplayer-plugin rather the codec playing it. nothing we can do until mplayer/codecs implements it better.

also shadowhand/firefox-devel, testing/mozilla-firefox and current/mozilla-firefox work the same for me on 2 machines. i do not see any problems here so i'd recommend Eugenia checks her setup.

what's more, this "black thing". is it a popup or not? sounds much like a non-mplayer-plugin related problem too.
