When going to that page, mplayer tries to load automatically all 3 movies, EVEN if you tell it to "stop" from its context menus. Also, when you right click it to tell it to "save the movie", it saves an 2.4 KB image instead of the actual movie (even after the movie has been completely downloaded in mplayer-plugin's cache). does it fix your particular problem?
oh, can you make sure it's not a firefox problem by temporarily moving ~/.mozilla?

all play fine but yes, the 1080p has garbage in the bottom area. but that's not exactly a problem of mplayer-plugin rather the codec playing it. nothing we can do until mplayer/codecs implements it better.
also shadowhand/firefox-devel, testing/mozilla-firefox and current/mozilla-firefox work the same for me on 2 machines. i do not see any problems here so i'd recommend Eugenia checks her setup.
what's more, this "black thing". is it a popup or not? sounds much like a non-mplayer-plugin related problem too.
