I dont know if wpa_supplicant is going to return in the base group, as there were some discussions about that, but as it stands it is part of the package list only because it gets picked up by wpa_actiond.
Maybe it would be better to add it explicitly.

As you said, such package is picked by wpa_actiond. There is no need to add redudant packages to such list. (Like depends= on PKGBUILDs).
