Region select stopped working via keyboard Additional info: emacs 24.2-2 * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: 1) Start emacs. 2) press C-SPC 3) press C-e 4) Notice that the text is not highlighted. 5) press ESC-w (copy) 6) notice the error: The mark is not set now, so there is no region Note: I have confirmed that this has nothing to do with my .emacs file as I have opened my emacs with a blank configuration and the problem still occurs. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling emacs. Also, I have verified that emacs believes that the C-SPC is tied to the set-mark-command command Thanks, -Actualeyes |

Can you reproduce in a terminal with emacs -nw?
running M-x set-mark-command works perfectly. As does selecting with the mouse. The problem only seems to happen when I use C-SPC
