DetailsCurrently, xvidcore is not listed as a dependency. If xvidcore is not explicitly installed (or installed as a dependency of some other package than vlc), then starting vlc results in the following error:
vlc: error while loading shared libraries: libxvidcore.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Installing xvidcore resolves the error. Either xvidcore should be listed as a dependency of vlc, or vlc should be built w/o xvidcore support. |
