They're clearly different programs, and the necessary conflicts are in place. Is there an actual problem here?

the problem is make package in AUR, if the packagers use these programs (one package uses hd2u and other dos2unix) make conflicts between both

both (hd2u and dos2unix) its for same work: convert files between DOS/UNIX/MAC endline formats. yes is different developer/program, but casuality, have same name

to prevent conflict, between both, add in the pkgbuild "conflicts=(hd2u)" in dos2unix and "conflicts=(dos2unix)" in hd2u

Dos2unix PKGBUILD already contains conflicts array (with hd2u). If user has installed hd2u and want to install dos2unix, pacman will check for reverse conflicts. Is there _ANY_ problem?

There doesn't really appear to be any reason to keep h2du in the repos.

If  FS#32760  gets done, you can remove the conflict
