systemd units for dbmail /usr/lib/systemd/system/dbmail-*.service can't create pid file. Additional info: * package version: dbmail 3.0.2-5 Journalctl output: dbmail/lmtpd[2755]: [0x155c030] EMERGENCY:[pidfile] pidfile_create(+113): Cannot open pidfile [/var/run/dbmail-lmtpd.pid], error was [Permission denied] Steps to reproduce: Just run any of dbmail daemons and it will crash. How to fix (works for me): In unit's section [Service] edit ExecStart entry. Need to add -p /var/run/dbmail/dbmail-imapd.pid. This is for IMAP daemon. Similiar fix need to be applied for all dbmail daemons. |
