Description:
I am using gnome3 and evince 3.6.1. I want to set evince as the default program to open pdf files. Now the default program is gimp, and I cannot change the default program to evince because evince does not appear in other program list. I have addressed this problem and found out the reason. $ grep -i nodisplay /usr/share/applications/evince.desktop NoDisplay=true It seems that this NoDisplay field in evince.desktop makes this trouble. Additional info: * package version(s) 3.6.1-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a nautilus window 2. Right click on a pdf file 3. Select "Open With > Other application.." 4. Click "Show other applications" 5. No Document Viewer in the list!! |
