DetailsDescription:
cmus will crash ungracefully when a stream is loaded with an unresolvable URL. After the crash, the terminal gets garbled and needs to be reset. I encountered this problem when I tried to listen to a streaming radio statio with an invalid URL (the URL for the station had changed). Streaming stations with valid URLs play fine. After the crash, glibc says "cmus: double free or corruption (fasttop)". I attached the backtrace as well as the output from gdb, although I see there is not much debug output. I compiled cmus from git to test for this issue. After the rebuild, cmus throws an error message if the URL does not resolve to a stream. The error reads "Error: Couldn't get file information for <URL>". This is the expected behavior. Additional info: * package version(s) cmus 2.4.3-3 (x86_64) * config and/or log files etc. bad_playlist.pls gdb.log backtrace.log Steps to reproduce: Launch cmus, load bad playlist file with incorrect URL within the UI or by "cmus-remote -c bad_playlist.pls", cmus crashes. |
