Description:

After trying to get a GNOME installation with as few packages as possible, I realized that GNOME is currently not dependent on the X.org server. I managed to install GNOME and activate GDM, but upon restart GDM would fail to start, because X.org was still missing. I'm not sure what would be the best package of the "gnome" group to be dependent on X.org, but my first approach would be GDM itself. I'm aware of the fact that there are other login managers working with GNOME, but probably they should have a similar dependency.

I'm not sure whether there are any usable alternatives to X.org, but at least in the future there probably will be Wayland. So maybe there should be some sort of meta package and/or group which then would be required by any graphical login manager.

We don't add xorg dependencies to WM/DE's also it's quiet impossible since gnome is a group.
