What happens if you install this optional dependency:
gst-ffmpeg (gst-libav) (optional) - Extra media codecs
Does it work after that?

@Jan de Groot, could that optional dependency be a regular dependency instead, or is it better to keep it as an optional dependency?
Why this bug is still not fixed ?
